Laura Taylor

Intuitive curiosity led Laura to yoga. On one of her teenage-escape-reality-with-books library treasure hunts, she discovered an illustrated guide to the poses for young adults. Reading this book planted a seed. She didn't know it then, but her authentic self began to germinate. The spiritual elements of yoga were still taking root, and many years later she discovered the transformative power of pranayama and meditation. During one of the more difficult periods of her life, she found herself on her mat daily. The practice provided healing. She noticed the subtle benefits of the practice - the breath as a passageway to peace; the stillness as permission to release; and the movement as a rhythmic bond to life itself. Yoga flooded her life with contentment for the now and compassion for herself and others. Yoga continues to teach her how to regulate her mind stuff and live peacefully in the present moment. Yoga cultivates her mind, body, and spirit connection. Through yoga, she learns again and again to let go of attachments to material things and personal attributes that separate her from others. She teaches yoga to serve others; she teaches yoga to share the knowledge of her teachers with future teachers.

Laura has been practicing yoga since 2008 and teaching yoga since 2019.
